Alison has trekked to Everest, hiked the Inca trail, and kayaked Haida Gwaii. She is an author, coach and PhD. candidate at the University of Waterloo. She has a graduate certificate in executive coaching and her Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University. Her research focused on how women’s stories of feeling recognized and appreciated for their uniqueness could influence corporate culture. Alison left her almost 30 year career as an environmental professional after suffering from burnout. To recover she turned to women’s stories, women’s wisdom and published her book In Her Own Words: Women’s wisdom to move you from surviving to thriving.
